The Indian gaming industry is booming right now and we have a lot in store for us in the coming years. One of the more popular titles of the lot is Underworld Gang Wars which Mayhem Studios is developing. The developers have just announced that Underworld Gang Wars has now entered its closed beta stage and interested players can register for it too. Check out the latest trailer below.
The game has been in development for some time and was announced last year. Since then, the title has garnered over 7 million pre-registrations, showcasing its hype. Before the closed beta test announcement, the title was being playtested by the community and with the response they received, the developers decided to make the game available to an even wider audience.

The early testing phase included alpha playtests and a community playtest that took place last month. From that, the developers have received “great feedback on not only the gameplay content but also the mechanics. One of the the biggest contributing factors to the hype is that the game incorporates Indian elements in its theme, characters and location, making it a “first of its kind battle royale game.”
Underworld Gang Wars will be set to bring players a total of 16 unique hotspots which will include places like forts, ghats, Mandis and others following a similar theme. As it is a gang-based title, the players will have the option to either become members of The Velvets gang or the Bhopal Toli gang. The title will also include a whole collection of weapons with some inspired by Indian origins such as “the hammer and the Katta.” All of this will be experienced from a first-person perspective.
