Among other big milestones this year, 2024 marks the 40th anniversary of the Transformers franchise. Hasbro is celebrating the occasion with a new promotion called Transformers ’80s Week, featuring new reveals, preorders and other content geared toward those beloved Robots in Disguise. IGN can exclusively reveal three of the announcements being made on today’s Hasbro Pulse livestream. From the debut of the Transformers Hot Wheels line to a killer vinyl record to a new wave of Funko Pop! figures, here’s what Transformers collectors have to look forward to later this year.Hot Wheels TransformersHot Wheels Transformers: Optimus Prime Image GalleryHasbro and Mattel are partnering to bring the heroes and villains of Transformers to the world of Hot Wheels. The first release is Hot Wheel Transformers: Optimus Prime, a 1:64 scale, full-metal rendition of the Autobot leader. The toy converts from robot to truck mode and features metallic Spectraflame paint and custom Real Riders wheels.Hot Wheels Transformers: Optimus Prime will be sold exclusively through Mattel Creations, with orders shipping beginning on May 21.Hasbro is teasing plenty more Hot Wheels Transformers releases later in Summer 2024, including a Bumblebee toy sold as part of the Hot Wheels Basic Singles Assortment, several Hot Wheels Silver Series toys and Optimus Prime and Megatron toys in the Hot Wheels Skate line. Hasbro Presents Transformers: Music from the Original Animated Series features a sampling of music from the cartoon. This set is an updated version of the one originally released in 2019, including new bonus tracks and a set of remastered orchestral tracks and synth tracks from composer Rob Walsh. Preorders will open soon on the Hasbro Pulse website for a July 2024 release. The album will also be released digitally for the first time.Transformers 40th Anniversary Funko Pop!
