The anime adaptation of Sand Land has revealed its second trailer, offering a more extensive look into the characters and setting of the upcoming series.

Sand Land: The Series is based on Akira Toriyama’s manga of the same name, which also received an anime film adaptation in Japan last year. The series will consist of events from the film while introducing some original content.
Sand Land: The Series’ official website described the show as follows:
“In a desert world where both demons and humans suffer from an extreme water shortage, Beelzebub, the prince of demons, and Rao, a small-town sheriff, form a tag-team and set off on an adventure in search of the Legendary Spring somewhere in the desert.”
Scheduled for release in Japan on March 20, the anime will be globally available for streaming on Disney+ Hotstar and in the U.S. on Hulu.
To kick off its release, the first seven episodes will be dropped simultaneously, followed by weekly premieres every Wednesday starting from March 27, totalling 13 episodes.
Directed by Toshihisa Yokoshima and Hiroshi Kojina, Sand Land: The Series is scripted by Hayashi Mori, with music composed by Yugo Kanno. The anime is produced by Sunrise, Kamikaze Douga, and Anima.
