The Pokemon franchise is expanding once again, now with a brand new anime series called Pokemon Terastal Debut. There is little known about the upcoming series, but a promotional image and the title of the series give us some information. Also, we do know that the series will include some characters from the Pokemon Horizon series and some new characters that we will see in the Terastal series.
In An X post (formerly Twitter) by Serebii.net, the website known for all things Pokemon, the “next saga of the Pokémon anime in Japan has been announced” and it has been dubbed as Pokemon Terastal Debut. Many fans are wondering how this new anime will work and whether it is a whole new series by itself or a continuation of the recently released, and Serebii has the answer for that too.

In a comment on the same thread, Serebii.net cleared the air by stating that in Japan, they do multiple sagas for the series, which is called Pokemon Horizons in the dub. So it started as Pokemon: Liko and Roy Set Off then went to Pokemon: Terapagos’ Shine and is now reaching Pokemon Terstal Debut. In the end, we do know that Pokemon: Terstal Debut is not a new series, but an extension of Pokemon Horizons.

Moreover, in the promotional image for the series, we see characters such as Liko and Roy along with their Pokemon, Fuecoco, Quaxly, Captain Pikachu and more. Furthermore, we have an understanding of what to expect from this upcoming series. Coming to what Tersastal means, from what we know from Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, it is a phenomenon of special energy that has seeped into the ground of the Paldea region. Terastallise is when the Pokemon are affected by this phenomenon, and start shining like gemstones and get a Tera Jewel over their head. Pokemon Terastal Debut will probably dive deeper into what this phenomenon is.
