The Last Airbender’ Collaboration and a New LEGO Worlds Feature

A new Fortnite leak suggests that Aang, the last Airbender from Avatar, is coming to Fortnite. Elsewhere, LEGO Fortnite, the open-world survival game within Fortnite, is reportedly soon going to allow players to create their own LEGO maps and even make money through them. Here’s the latest round-up of Fortnite news.

Fortnite and Avatar: The Last Airbender collaboration
Prominent Fortnite leaker iFireMonkey has revealed that there’s an upcoming collaboration between Fortnite and Avatar The Last Airbender. It will reportedly be a mid-season event pass where players would have to collect 6 books by completing quests during matches to finally unlock the Appa Glider, which is based on the flying bison from Avatar. Players who buy the event pass will instantly unlock the Aang Fortnite skin and LEGO skin. There are more rewards for players that will be available during this upcoming event.

The leaker also mentioned that the collaboration has an end date of May 3, 2024, in the data-mined Fortnite API but added that it is most likely a placeholder and not the actual end date for the collaboration.

LEGO Fortnite: Community-made LEGO maps
Fortnite will be introducing community-made LEGO maps, as leaked by ShiinaBR, a popular Fortnite leaker. As spotted by the leaker, a new LEGO Fortnite disclaimer states, “In order to Publish a LEGO® island you are required to review the terms and conditions and understand the revenue rules.”

HypeX, another popular Fortnite leaker, corroborated ShiinaBR’s initial leak and added that LEGO Fortnite will allow players to create their own LEGO Island, most likely through the Atom Fortnite Editor, which may work similarly to the Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN). The UEFN lets players in Fortnite create islands for the main game. Players will also get to import custom LEGO maps, and the default pieces for the creation of a LEGO World will be different variants of Knobs, Pins, and Tubes pieces, as per HypeX.

The leaker also said that new LEGO set collaborations with “Action Figures, Duplo, Technic, Clikits, Scala, Toolo, Znap, Primo, Quatro, City Set, CCBS” and more will be introduced for building your own LEGO World. All of these companies already have existing LEGO sets in the real world.

This means that players will be able to create their own LEGO Island, most likely through the new Atom Fortnite Editor, which may work similarly to the Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN).

Players can earn money from their LEGO Worlds in Fortnite
Furthermore, the mention of revenue rules implies that players will earn some form of revenue from the islands, and there is expected to be a revenue split between players and Epic Games. The UEFN was launched alongside Creator Economy 2.0, which introduced a revenue share split of 60-40%, where players earned 40% of the revenue generated through their maps.

As always, these are leaks and not official announcements from Fortnite. It is advised to take this information with a pinch of salt until there is an official announcement.
