Netflix has released a new teaser trailer and visual for the K-drama adaptation of the Parasyte manga, titled Parasyte: The Grey. The release date for the series was announced as April 5 last week, and now viewers get a first look at what the show will entail.
The teaser introduces the premise of Parasyte: The Grey, revealing that a species of parasites has arrived on Earth with the sole aim of infesting human bodies to sustain themselves. These parasites hide their monstrous true forms under human skulls, camouflaging themselves among humans while harbouring grotesque faces hidden within.

Apart from what’s revealed in the teaser, Netflix has shared that Parasyte: The Grey takes place in a different setting (South Korea) with new characters compared to Hitoshi Iwaaki’s manga, which is set in Japan. Jeon So-nee portrays Su-in, who navigates her newfound coexistence with a parasite. The series explores an interspecies conflict, featuring “Team Grey,” a human group battling against the parasites.

Other cast members of Parasyte: The Grey include Koo Kyo-hwan and Lee Jung-hyun, known for their roles in Peninsula. Parasyte: The Grey is directed by Yeon Sang-ho, acclaimed for his work on Train to Busan and Hellbound.
