Looking at the Arctis 1 specs above, it is a pretty typical budget gaming headset, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t a great performer. The over-ear and closed-back design helps block out any external noise, even if it doesn’t have Active Noise Cancelation tech built in. The frequency range is what is standard on most headphones, so nothing unusual here.
The wired connectivity makes it compatible with all gaming platforms, which we’d say is the main selling point here. In our SteelSeries Arctis 1 gaming headset review, we called it a ‘great little budget option’, calling the sound and microphone performance ‘solid’.
