Skull and Bones Has Been Called a ‘AAAA’ Title By Ubisoft CEO as Assassin’s Creed Nexus VR Sales Disappoint
Skull and Bones is the pirate-based adventure that gamers have been intrigued about, but the title hasn’t had the best reputation ahead of launch, as many players that participated in its beta test called the game “boring”. However, the Ubisoft CEO recently called the game an “AAAA” title recently.
According to a report by VGC, Ubisoft CEO, Yves Guillemot was recently asked about the game’s $70 price tag for the game at the Q&A session at their Q3 conference call. Guillemot replied that “Skull and Bones is a full-fledged game”, and that it is a massive title and players will comprehend “how vast and complete that game is” once it is released. Guillemot added that the Skull and Bones is a “quadruple-A game” which will end up delivering in the long run.
At the same time, players should know that Ubisoft is conducting an Open Beta for Skull and Bones between February 8–11 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. It will have an Infamy Cap at Tier 6 Rank 1/Brigand and will have cross-progression and cross-play enabled. Don’t worry, all your progress will be carried over at launch, so go check out for yourself if the game feels like an ‘AAA game’ to you.

Ubisoft CEO disappointed with Assassin’s Creed Nexus VR Sales
During the same conference (via VGC) Guillemot also spoke about Ubisoft not wanting to put too many resources in VR as Assassin’s Creed VR Sales weren’t up to the mark. Guillemot saod that they were “disappointed” with how it performed and will not be increasing their “investment on VR at the moment” as it hasn’t taken off yet. At the same time, he also complimented Apple’s work with the Vision Pro.
