Samsung’s Galaxy Watch FE Price and Launch Date Leaked

Apart from the Galaxy Watch 7 touted to be unveiled at the Unpacked event in July, Samsung is also rumored to be launching the first FE-branded Galaxy Watch. Leaks continue to pour in as well, with the latest being an Amazon listing, revealing the smartwatch’s price and possible launch date.

Samsung Galaxy Watch FE price
As spotted by Ytechb (via GSMArena), the listing hails from Amazon itself, including the price of the alleged Galaxy Watch FE. Basically, it will retail for €199 a pop in Italy and will most likely retain the same price point across other European markets as well.
It’s safe to assume the smartwatch would command a $199 price tag in the USA. However, it is also possible for it to be cheaper in the States and other countries considering how Samsung’s pricing structure of its devices in the EU has been historically inflated.

Regardless, this makes the Galaxy Watch FE significantly cheaper than the base Galaxy Watch 6 (review) at $299. Then again, the current flagship smartwatch has received discounts on a regular basis, even dropping to as low as $199. Hence, it remains unclear how Samsung will position the Galaxy Watch FE once it is available.
Samsung Galaxy Watch FE launch date
More than just the the price, the listing mentioned the Galaxy Watch FE’s pre-orders will ship starting from June 24. That does add some credence to the announcement which could take place ahead of this date rather than being introduced alongside the Galaxy Watch 7 next month.
In addition, other interesting details were included such as the wearable device arriving in black, silver, and pink finishes. It also described the device’s weight, tipping the scale at 26.6 grams with dimensions of 40 x 10 x 39 mm.

Based on earlier reports, the Galaxy Watch FE was touted to be a rebranded Galaxy Watch 4 and sports a 1.2-inch round OLED display surrounded by a thick bezel with an aluminum chassis and IP68 and military-grade certifications. Underneath the hood, the smartwatch is powered by a W920 processor and accompanied by a 247 mAh battery with 30 hours of rated battery life, in addition to wireless charging capability.
Do you think the Galaxy Watch 4 would still be a practical choice today, knowing the hardware is dated? Let’s discuss your answers in the comments.
