Oppenheimer, the 2023 Christopher Nolan film, will be available for streaming on JioCinema starting March 21, 2024.
The film will only be available as part of JioCinema Premium, which is priced at ₹999 for an annual subscription.
Keep in mind that this is the streaming release date, and Oppenheimer has been available for digital rental or purchase since November 21, 2023, on platforms such as Prime Video, Apple TV, Hungama, Google Play Movies, and YouTube Movies.
Interestingly, Jio Cinema features a Peacock Hub, which was added to the service after Reliance and NBCUniversal signed a multi-year deal to bring NBC’s streaming titles to India. Despite Oppenheimer being available for streaming on Peacock in the U.S. from February 16, the Indian OTT release is taking place more than a month later.
When Oppenheimer was released in India on July 21, 2023, it received its U/A certificate just a couple of days earlier, despite the film containing nudity. This was made possible because Universal Pictures self-censored an intimate scene involving Florence Pugh.
