One-Punch Man manga artist Yusuke Murata has clarified that his new animation studio will not be involved in the production of the anime’s Season 3.
“I am not involved in the third season of the One-Punch Man anime,” Murata stated. “The anime production is our own project.”
In January, Murata announced his new anime studio and teased clips of his upcoming anime project, Zaiyuki, which he initially shared in March 2023.
Zaiyuki follows the story of Goyjo, a Kappa boy who struggles with skills that other Japanese mythical creatures excel in. When he wins a lottery to leave his country for India, his journey doesn’t go as smoothly as expected.

One-Punch Man Season 3 was rumoured to be animated by studio MAPPA
In August 2022, it was announced that One-Punch Man would get a third season, however, it wasn’t announced what studio would be handling the project. The first season was animated by Madhouse, and the second was animated by J.C.Staff.
A rumour suggested that studio MAPPA would be animating the third season, and the account which posted the rumour got taken down. The official X/Twitter account of One-Punch Man warned against believing any rumours, writing, “This is the only official Twitter account for the anime ‘One-Punch Man.’ Please don’t be misled by unofficial information from other accounts. Accurate information will be announced from this account when it is time.”
