The series is far more of a comedy than a traditional action Shonen, with main character Saitama mostly frustrated with the lack of challenge that this ability affords him, while trying to live his comfortable but solitary life without distraction. The series began in 2009 as a webcomic by creator One, and was later updated with new illustrations from Yusuke Murata as its popularity grew, with the Anime series beginning in 2015, originally handled by Madhouse, but since handed over to J.C. Staff for subsequent seasons.Heather Anne Campbell has written for television since 2008, with credits on SNL, The Eric Andre Show, and more, along with co-executive producing Rick and Morty since 2022 and co-hosting the Get Anime’d podcast. Dan Harmon has written for film and television since 1999.Mat Jones is IGN’s UK Social Coordinator, and will turn back into a pumpkin at midnight.
