Learn more Table of Contents Table of Contents NZXT is stepping into the AM5 platform once again with its new N9 X870E motherboard designed specifically for the next-gen Ryzen 9000 series. Previously, NZXT has only launched one AM5 motherboard which was based on the B650E chipset. This time NZXT has upgraded over that same motherboard but also introduced a more powerful VRM design, faster memory support, advanced power solution, and more. The subtle looking board looks set to hit shelves sometime next year, months after other brands launch their own X870 & X870E motherboards. Source: NZXT Starting with the power solution, the N9 X870E has a 20+1+2 high-performance VRM with an 8-layer PCB and 110 Smart Power Stage to ensure stable overclocking potential. Memory-wise, the N9 X870E offers higher memory speeds 8000+ MT/s, and four dual-channel DDR5 RAM slots. Another improvement comes with upgraded network capabilities that now offer WiFi 7 and 5Gb LAN. Additionally, you can now attach 4 M.2 SSDs, 1 PCIe 5.0, and 3 PCIe 4.0 along with dedicated heatsinks for all M.2 slots. NZXT N9 X870E features. Source: NZXT The NZXT N9 X870E is better than the previous B650E version The NZXT N9 X870E has improved upon several aspects from its previous B650E version. A few notable changes can be seen with a more advanced power solution as the B650E had a 16+2+1 and 90A design. You also see a jump from WiFi 6E and 2.5Gb LAN in terms of network connectivity. Aside from that, the N9 X970E features a similar storage configuration, but it addresses a previous limitation where one of the 4.0 SSDs was restricted to two lanes instead of four. Overall, the NZXT N9 X870E delivers exceptional performance and improves upon a lot from its previous version.
