The Last of Us HBO Series has managed to bag 8 awards at the 75th Creative Emmy Awards, winning awards like picture editing, main title design, prosthetic makeup, sound editing, sound mixing, and visual effects and more. We also saw Nick Offerman and Storm Reid take home the Outstanding Guest Actor and Guest Actress awards home. Interestingly, Offerman had some interesting comments about a Frank and Bill spinoff at the award ceremony.
The Last of Us prequel on Bill and Frank was pitched, reveals Offerman
As reported by Deadline, Offerman was asked whether there was a chance for the actor to return to franchise in a prequel series that featured Bill and Frank as the characters had already died in the HBO series. Offerman hilariously replied that they would have to ask someone with a “higher pay grade” than him. Offerman added that an idea revolving around “a whole mini-series of a prequel of their lives before they met each other” had been pitched.
Offerman also spoke about how this prequel could also be a “musical” and they aren’t “short on ideas”. However, the fans will have to wait for what the show runners, Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann come up with. Offerman was also asked if he were interested in coming back, to which he replied stating he would definitely love to work with the actors that put him to work.

Offerman also cracked a joke stating that he was “lucky this time” as they needed a guy who could use a shovel and “Harrison Ford passed and Jane Lynch was not available”. We all know that Offerman cannot return to the main series again as his character has passed away, but would the fans be open to this prequel mini-series?
