Learn more Table of Contents Table of Contents Streamplify have been producing streaming-focused peripherals since 2022, and their latest line is the ideal basis for any would-be streamer’s first setup. Specifically this includes the Streamplify MIC PRO (£79.99), the Streamplify CAPTURE 4K USB Capture Card (£109.99), and the Streamplify CAM PRO 4K (£83.99). All three of these products offer great features at a price that is below what you’d typically expect from equally-specced devices on the market from competing brands, making them a great option for the budget-conscious. Let’s dive in and take a closer look. Streamplify MIC PRO Specifications Sensor: 4x Ø14mm condenser capsules Pick-up pattern: Stereo, Omni directional, Cardioid, Bidirectional Sample rate: 192KHz/24bit Frequency response: 70Hz – 20kHz Signal to noise ratio: -31 dB ± 3 dB Impedance: 1K Ω THD: <3% (at 1 kHz) audio-out: 3.5mm jack Power requirement: 5V 300mA Connection: USB-C (comes with 180cm cable) Show more The new MIC PRO is an update over the previous Streamplify MIC RGB Microphone, which could be purchased equipped with either a mounting arm or desk-sized tripod. This latest Pro variant comes with a new anti-vibration shock stand as standard, to minimize audio interference from any desk vibrations during a recording/stream, though it has wide compatibility besides this. Other improvements include a higher sampling rate (192KHz/24bit compared to 16bit, 48kHz) and a wider frequency response (70Hz – 20kHz compared to 100Hz – 18kHz), means that the mic is capable of more true-to-life, better-quality, audio capture. It’s also more power efficient (5V 300mA compared to 5V 500mA) and comes with 10 RGB effects instead of 8. The inclusion of four pickup patterns: stereo, cardioid, omni-directional, or bi-directional (the older Streamplify mic is limited to cardioid), also means that the mic has much greater flexibility for use in different recording scenarios where you want to tailor which sounds are picked up from different directions. As a result, you could effectively use it for not just streaming at your desk but for interviewing multiple people sat in different positions around a room or for recording crowds, to list just two examples. This isn’t a very common feature to find in a microphone in the budget price range, so it’s particularly nice to see. You also get active noise reduction, plus controls allowing for real-time voice monitoring adjustments. Besides the included mount, you can utilise the 5/8” thread to combine the Mic Pro with other arm mounts, tripods, or other stands that use this widely compatible standard. In terms of device connectivity, the USB-A 2.0 port makes it also widely compatible with virtually every PC, laptop, and even some gaming consoles. There’s a tap-to-mute button on the top of the mic, plus physical controls on the front that allow for toggling between the RGB settings, plus gain control. Packaged along with the webcam you get a handy adjustable tripod (with a height that ranges between 14.5cm-21cm). The webcam itself is based on a magnetic ‘foot’ and has a ¼” thread for mounting. You also get a shutter cover included with automatic mute function for the two mics to ensure privacy.
