New Staff Members for Dragon Ball Daima Anime Announced

New staff members for the upcoming Dragon Ball Daima anime, the newest entrant in the Dragon Ball series, have been announced.

The V Jump magazine revealed in its latest issue (via Anime News Network) that Dragon Ball Daima will be directed by Aya Komaki and Yoshitaka Yashima. The script will be penned by Yuuko Kakihara. Character designs will be handled by Katusyoshi Nakatsuru.

As for voice acting, Masako Nozawa will reprise his role as the voice of Son Goku.

The new Dragon Ball series was confirmed at the New York Comic Con in October this year. It is set to debut in the fall of 2024.

Akira Toriyama has been involved in the creation of Daima’s story and character designs as well. The anime will feature an original story that is “never told in Dragon Ball.” The panel at the convention also revealed that Toriyama’s involvement in Daima goes “beyond his usual capacity.”

Dragon Ball Daima’s story features familiar characters such as Goku, Chi Chi, Pamput, Krillin, Piccolo, and Shin, in their children forms. The plot of the anime centres around these characters getting turned into children by a villain. You can check out some screenshots of Daima below.
