Nanlite has announced the new Nanlite FS-300C ($549). This RGBW LED spot puts out an impressive amount of light, even in daylight mode. The company says at 5600K, its output exceeds comparable 300W lights on the market by over 90%.
Of course, it also offers the full complement of RGB features, with HSI mode offering up to 36,000 different colours. The all-in-one design means no external controller. All your controls are right on the back of the light itself, with wireless control available from the Nanlink app.
Nanlite FS-300C RGBW LED Spot – Bowens Mount Compatible
The Nanlite FS-300C RGBW LED Spot is a Bowens mount light, allowing access to a wide range of modifiers. Nanlite has a number of their own Bowens mount modifiers or you can tap into the hundreds of third-party modifiers available.
In CCT mode, it has a wide white balance range from 2700K up to 7500K with ±150 green/magenta adjustment. It has a CRI of 95 and TLCI of 94 for accurate colours, but this is a pretty standard requirement these days. In HSI mode, you have up to 36,000 colour options available to you, along with fifteen different customisable effects.
For those recording audio with the lights on, the Nanlite FS-300C has four different fan modes. You’ve got Smart, Full Speed, Low Speed and Off. In Smart mode, the noise level clocks in at 24dB(A). The ability to turn them off completely, though, means they should never interfere with your sound when you don’t want them to.
It follows a similar design to the Nanlite FS-300B Bi-colour LED spot ($239), released in 2022. With the addition of 150W and 200D models, Nanlite’s low-budget AC-powered lights already looked pretty good. Now, with a high-power RGBW, it’s really starting to come together. No word yet on whether we’ll see the colour options trickle down to the lower-powered lights.

The Nanlite FS-300C is available to pre-order now for $549. It will be on display at the Nanlite booth 228 at Euro Cine Expo in Munich between 27-29 June for those who want to check it out in person before buying.
