Lycoris Recoil is reportedly set to receive an anime movie, as hinted in a now-deleted post on X / Twitter by an A-1 Pictures employee.
According to Shunsuke Sugimoto, the employee in question (via Manga Mogura RE), Lycoris Recoil has an animated film in the works. Sugimoto encouraged fans to look forward to the film, promising that they will see something interesting.

This follows the announcement on Monday that Asaura, the original creator of Lycoris Recoil, is launching a new manga titled Double Helix Blossom in Shogakukan’s Weekly Coro Coro Comic magazine.
Lycoris Recoil is an original Japanese anime series created by Spider Lily and Asaura, produced by A-1 Pictures. Airing from July to September 2022, the series revolves around Lycoris, a clandestine group of agents, who operate a Tokyo café serving drinks and pastries. When their customers face danger, they collaborate to ensure peace, blending the ordinary with covert missions.
Lycoris Recoil experienced immediate success, swiftly becoming the highest-rated TV anime of 2022 among Japanese audiences. IGN’s 8/10 review described the series as an exhilarating original anime “crossing slice-of-life companionship with girls-with-guns action and an infectious adoration of classic movies.”
