LG is known for being at the forefront of OLED panel technology, with their own range of displays frequently occupying our best OLED TV guide. As we get close to the release of this year’s line-up, discounts for the LG C3 OLED TV are hot, even making some models cheaper than the previous-gen LG C2.
Big discounts can be seen for the LG C3 on sites like Amazon, so now is a great time to buy one if you’re looking to save some cash. When comparing LG C3 vs LG C2, there isn’t a huge deal to separate them, though the C3 of course benefits from some generational improvements. We’re currently seeing the 42-inch and 83-inch models for the C3 cheaper than its predecessor on Amazon.

LG C3 OLED TV and LG C2 discounts
The LG C3 has been hit by a limited time deal which sees certain models dropping even cheaper than the older C2. That being said, this isn’t true for every single model. What we’ve noticed though is that the smallest 42-inch and largest 83-inch models cost a cut below the last-gen pick – the other models come close in price as well.
At the time of writing, this is how the prices stand – do note that this could change quickly as and when Amazon updates their pricing:
Why is the LG C3 cheaper than the LG C2?
Although prices vary across the various size options, the LG C3 can be found for cheaper on the 42-inch and 83-inch models. Both of them have a similar price, as overall they are pretty similar TVs. The improvements from the C2 to C3 aren’t that massive in the grand scheme of things.
However, we can only assume that the LG C3 is currently cheaper for some sizes due to an abundance of stock – and it needs to be a great price if it wants to compete with the LG C2, which still remains a popular choice. The cheaper sizes are at either end of the sizing spectrum, so we can imagine that they are some of the less popular models. The LG C4 release date is right around the corner, so discounts for both of these older models is to be expected.
