Intel’s upcoming processor lineup titled the “Core Ultra Processors (Series 2)” is creating massive buzz in the tech industry with tech enthusiasts waiting for any new crumbs of information to shed light on performance, pricing, and a potential release. A few recent leaked tests have shown that the upcoming Intel’s Core Ultra 7 265k and 265K (F) are on par with the latest Core Ultra 9 285K segment. Intel Core Ultra 7 265K shows improvement from previous leaked tests This isn’t the first time we’ve seen Intel Core Ultra 7 265K benchmarks, with an earlier leak showcasing a Core Ultra 7 265K (with Intel Arc graphics disabled) beating its predecessor – the I7 14700K – by a moderate 10%. However, this time around, the Intel Core Ultra 7 265K variant surprisingly showed a much higher performance boost almost reaching the levels of the flagship Intel Core Ultra 9 285K processor. During the new test, the Intel Core Ultra 7 265K showed a commendable 15% increase in performance. The test was conducted and evaluated for both single and multi-core performance. The processor was paired with an ASUS TUF GAMING Z890 WIFI motherboard which had 64GB of DDR5 RAM with speeds not currently known. Along with that, the CPU comes with 8-P Cores and 12-E Cores, a total of 20 Cores that do not support hyperthreading. However, despite the lack of hyperthreading, the Intel Core Ultra 7 265K surpassed the 14700K by a decent margin; as seen below. Intel Core Ultra 7 265K challenges the Intel Core Ultra 9 285K The Intel Core Ultra 7 265K has shown some big performance boosts in the new leaked tests. However, the CPU has even managed to reach levels of the Intel Core Ultra 9 285K – the brand’s upcoming flagship Arrow Lake chip. According to the leaked Single Thread and Multi Thread Geekbench performance scores. The Intel 7 Ultra 265K managed to get an ST score of 3283 and an MT score of 22293. For comparison, the Intel Core Ultra 9 285K has an ST score of 3420 and an MT score of 23376. While we do not know the exact conditions of how these tests were conducted, it does seem like the Intel Core Ultra 265K was using increased power limits. However, nothing hints towards an overclocked processor. With that said, the Intel Core 200K series is scheduled to launch on October 20th, and with only a few weeks left, we still might get some closer and newer insights. Source: Geekbench
