Intel Core Ultra 9 285 non-K CPU listed on Geekbench, expected to have a 5.6 GHz boost clock

Learn more Table of Contents Table of Contents Intel is planning to launch the new Intel Core Ultra 200 series in just a few weeks and the first non-K chip, the Intel 9 285 non-K, has just been spotted on Geekbench. Intel is expected to unveil the Intel Core Ultra 200 series on October 10th and while we have key information regarding a few products in the lineup, the non-K side has been under wraps. However, that is not the case anymore, as a Geekbench listing has just been spotted for what can be called the first non-K processor in the Intel Core Ultra 200 series, codenamed the Arrow Lake-S family. Intel’s lack of focus on non-K processors Despite being popular amongst budget builders, Intel isn’t one for pushing early review samples of its non-K CPU lineup – nor does it put much marketing behind the lineup. You can see this pretty blatantly by simply heading over to Geekbench and checking out the total number of listings for previous non-K processors (like the 14th Gen Core non-K series) – where you’ll find a visible difference compared to its unlocked counterpart. But that doesn’t mean Intel will be completely scrapping the idea and the Intel 9 285 non-K is here to prove that. The Intel 9 285 non-K CPU is coming and will feature similar configurations as the 285K with a thermal design power of 65W and a total of 24 cores (with no hyperthreading). Intel 9 285 non-K will have a maximum boost clock of 5.6 GHz In terms specs, the Intel 9 285 non-K will boost up to 5.586 GHz, with a maximum boost clock of 5.6 GHz (100 MHz lower than the 285K). Performance-wise, the non-K variant should do well in single-thread applications almost as well as the 265K(F). However, due to its power constraints, the Intel 9 285 non-K is not expected to go above and beyond in multi-thread applications. It might be similar to the 245K(F) but since we don’t have any benchmarks on that CPU, we can’t be sure. When to expect the Intel 9 285 non-K? The Intel 9 285 non-K is not expected to be announced along with the Intel Core Ultra 200 series since the lineup will not have any sub-125W parts. The non-K CPUs are likely to be announced later on at next year’s CES showcase.
