The anime film Haikyu!! The Dumpster Battle is set to release in Indian theatres in May.

As reported by Anime News Network, Medialink, a distribution company that handles anime content distribution in Southeast Asia, announced in a press release that India will receive the highly anticipated anime movie in May.

The press release revealed the release dates for the two-part Haikyu!! Final sequel film in Southeast Asian countries. The film is scheduled to premiere in Hong Kong and Macau on April 11, followed by Taiwan on April 12. These screenings will also be available in IMAX, 4DX, and MX4D formats. It remains unknown whether the Indian screenings will receive the same treatment.

In March, the Indian anime interest X/Twitter account Weeb Central reported rumours of the film receiving a theatrical release in India.

Haikyu!! The Dumpster Battle premiered in Japan on February 16, 2024, serving as a sequel to the popular volleyball anime series Haikyu!! To The Top.

On April 9, Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Entertainment shared global theatrical release dates for Haikyu!! The Dumpster Battle at CinemaCon, which excluded several countries, such as India and those in Southeast Asia, as Medialink is overseeing the release in those regions. Crunchyroll also acquired other films such as Blue Lock The Movie – Episode Nagi, and Overlord: The Sacred Kingdom.
