GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition’s Next Patch Could Include Fixes and Improvements From the Mobile Port




The Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – Definitive Edition recently arrived on Android and iOS devices through Netflix Games and players have been enjoying the games. Many have stated that they felt the games released on the mobile platform were in a much better state than the ones that were released for PC and Consoles. This is why players are hoping that the mobile gaming improvements come to the other ports too and it seems like this may happen soon.

A popular news source on all things Rockstar, videotechuk_, has revealed some interesting details about the Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – Definitive Edition on X (formerly Twitter). According to their latest post, it seems that a new patch is being developed for the PC version of the game and it might include the fixes and improvements that we have observed in the mobile port. All of them also include a new Classic Light Mode which restores the look and feel of the sky from the original games, this feature is one of the most requested ones on other platforms.

This information has been gathered from some recent activity that was spotted on SteamDB. On top of that, videotechuk_ has also stated that this is “actual real activity, not anything to do with RGL or changing the encryption keys on Steam”. Fans are happy about this news and are hoping that it happens as soon as possible. Players want the games to look as visually appealing if not better on the PC as well as consoles.

For those unaware, Netflix Games recently added the GTA: The Trilogy – Definitive Edition to their roster of titles and anyone with an eligible membership can download the games included in this edition. The trilogy includes the following titles, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories.
