GodLike Esports Talks About the CODM World Championship, Work To Improve Their Performance, and More
The latest episode of IGN Army featured an interaction with GodLike Esports, one of the prominent Call of Duty Mobile esports teams in India. The team talked about the challenges they have faced so far, and about competing in the COD Mobile World Championship.
IGN India talked to Gaurang “Prevail” Palav who covers the SMG role for the team, and the team’s sniper Abhishek “AbhizDADA” Nagar among other teammates including in-game leader Jash “Learn” Shah, and Zeel “Neutrino” Patel, who were accompanied by team coach Ygor “YgorCoach” Simao.
The episode kicked off with a friendly game where the team had to answer which teammate had some specific traits and behaviour. The interview moved on to cover aspects about the World Championship held last year where GodLike were the runner-ups. The team talked about their recently built squad and how they were able to achieve chemistry within the squad ahead of the International tournament.

GodLike’s in-game leader Jash Shah explained how important it was for the team to shift their focus from just grinding to get better. The coach introduced newer routines that expanded beyond the in-game training, with a focus on getting enough rest, eating the right food, and more, all of which are part and parcel of sports, and Shah added that our physical and mental health was just as important as the training in order to get better at the game and as a team.
The team also laid out some advice for aspiring esports athletes on how they can enter the industry, and the steps they can take to make it big in the industry. Apart from the candid conversations, the team also engaged in a friendly Among Us match.
