Ghost of Tsushima beats God of War with a peak of 77,154 concurrent gamers on Steam; a new record for PlayStation PC ports, and more
Ghost of Tsushima – Director’s Cut, the action-adventure game, is now available on PC via Steam. The PC instalment comprises the core game, the Legends multiplayer mode, and the Iki Island expansion. The game, which previously launched as a PlayStation exclusive, managed to attract audiences worldwide through its PC Port, coming in with a SteamDB rating of 85.2% and securing an all-time peak player count of 77,154, at the time of writing.
Sony’s decision to bring Ghost of Tsushima to PC has been an undeniable success. However, it is worth noting that players from over 170 countries were unable to access the game, even though it was initially available for pre-order in those regions, due to PSN based restrictions. Despite its limited availability, the game has gathered gamers worldwide with its enjoyable combat, brilliant visuals, unique wind-guided systems \ and much more.
Ghost of Tsushima Players Experience Technical Difficulties at Launch
Despite the positive reviews of Ghost of Tsushima, PC players have reported encountering technical difficulties. These issues include frequent crashes and connection problems, which seem to be linked to hardware configurations. As a result, while many players praise the game for its stunning visuals and immersive gameplay experience, others continue to face frustrating obstacles that hinder their enjoyment of Ghost of Tsushima on PC. At the moment, apart from acknowledging the successful release of Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut, Sucker Punch has not mentioned any fixes they are working on.
Moreover, players had to log into a PSN account to play the co-op mode (samurai action-adventure’s Legends), which was a drag for many. According to the Sony announcement, players of Ghost of Tsushima Legends on Windows PCs could join forces with those on both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 consoles through PSN login, however, this wasn’t enough to sweeten the deal for PC players.
