Gamers Might Be Able to Access the Subscription Service by Watching Ads in the Future

Xbox Game Pass is one of the most popular gaming subscription services out there, including a large audience of gamers as it caters to PC as well as console players. To access the variety of games that this service brings you, players have to pay a subscription fee. However, according to the latest reports it seems there might be other ways for players to access the service in the future.

Xbox may offer Xbox Game Pass access if you watch an ad
According to a report by Tweak Town (via Windows Central), Tim Stuart, the Chief Financial Officer at Xbox had some interesting details to share about ads during the Wells Fargo TMT Summit. Stuart spoke about how “for models like Africa, or India, Southeast Asia”, regions that aren’t “console-first”, Xbox can provide them offers like watching “30 seconds of an ad and then get two hours of game streaming.”

Stuart added that “50%” of Africa’s population comprises “23 years old or younger” people who have a “growing disposable income base” that have access to “cell phones and mobile devices.” However, “not a lot of high-end disposable income, generally speaking”, Stuart adds. Stuart concludes by stating that “there’s millions and millions of gamers we would never have been able to address there, and now we can go in without business models.”

However, we will have to see how Xbox implements this model.
