Devs Reveal the Pitching Process for Side Quests, New Mod Allows Players To Chill With Keanu Reeves at Their Apartments
Cyberpunk 2077 is a game that is known for its side quests as they have so much more to offer than the quests we are used to with some other RPGs. At GDC 2024, CD Projekt Red devs revealed the process behind deciding these side quests and how much pitching takes place during the planning phase of things. On top of that, a new mod has surfaced online that allows you to chill with Keanu Reeves in any of your in-game apartments, learn more below.
Cyberpunk 2077 Side-Quests Pitching Explained
Speaking to PC Gamer, Cyberpunk 2077’s lead quest designer Pawel Sasko talked about the quest-making process for the game. Sasko explained that game designers have an acceptance ratio of “5-10%” when it comes to ideas, and when that ratio touches the 10% mark, it means that must be “one of the best people” on the team. Sasko then explained their process of pitching, stating that he would provide a list of genres and a list of themes to work with. The devs will then write 10–20 pitches surrounding that theme.
Sasko also went on to explain that “no artist has only great ideas”, everyone has good ones and bad ones and the team ends up picking the “top 5%”. Sasko provided additional context, stating that they have looked up “best quests in Cyberpunk or Phantom Liberty” and have come to the conclusion that many of the quests that are being considered the best side quests are the ones that have “one of the smallest budgets”. Sasko concluded by stating, “You can make so many amazing things with clever ideas, with working with limitations.”

New Cyberpunk 2077 Mod Allows You to Chill With Keanu Reeves in Any of V’s Apartments
In other news, spotted by VG247 a new mod on Nexus Mods called Here’s Johnny, allows Keanu Reeves’ character Johnny Silverhand to spawn in any of V’s apartments in the game. What’s more, he will also come and play the guitar at your place.
