Pre-Match Analysis:
Lancashire was disappointed not to get a game last week as both their contests against Derbyshire and Yorkshire were abandoned without a ball bowled. It’s been 10 days since they played their last game, which they thrillingly won against Worcestershire, thanks to well compiled unbeaten half-century from overseas batter Tom Bruce and a finishing six from Luke Wood. Keaten Jennings’ led side is in a good position and currently sits 2nd in the North Group standings with 15 points, and a win here against bruised Nottinghamshire will hand them a quarter-final place.

The squad is further bolstered by the arrival of all-rounder Liam Livingstone, who will join his England teammate Phil Salt, both of whom were part of the T20 World Cup 2024 in which the Three Lions lost to title holders India in the semi-final. Lancashire also signed Irish all-rounder George Dockrell, increasing their overseas signing to three this season.

Nottinghamshire had an awful campaign this year and chances are high that they will finish at the bottom of the standings. They are carrying three-match losing streak to their trip to Manchester and will try to stop Lancashire’s knockout qualification berth. In their previous outing, Notts lost to Leicestershire by 5 wickets following their average performances across all departments. The unavailability of their key player Alex Hales for the second phase of the tournament due to his commitments with Galle Marvels in the Lanka Premier League is one of the reasons for their decline.

Skipper Joe Clarke (304) has scored the excess of the 300-run mark while the rest haven’t been close to 200. Coming to their bowling, England International Olly Stone has bagged the most wickets with 14 to his name. Having already dropped out of the knockout race way too early, they will be aiming to wind up the competition on a higher note.
