Chainsaw Man Creator Tatsuki Fujimoto’s One-Shot Manga Look Back Will Reportedly Get Anime Adaptation
Tatsuki Fujimoto, the creator of Chainsaw Man, is reportedly having his one-shot manga Look Back adapted into an anime.
The news stems from the registration of a web domain named “Lookback-Anime.com”. Typically, dedicated websites like this are created for anime productions. As of now, the website is not accessible.

Look Back, published in July 2021, tells a coming-of-age story centred around Ayumu Fujino, a fourth-grader who creates manga for her school paper. Reluctantly sharing her slot with Kyomoto, another student, Fujino’s jealousy grows as Kyomoto’s manga gains acclaim, despite her own efforts to surpass it. By sixth grade, Fujino abandons manga until an unexpected encounter on graduation day alters both their lives.
For now, it is not known what form the anime adaptation will take, given the manga’s one-shot nature. A movie or miniseries format seems probable. However, no further details regarding production, staff, or studio have surfaced, leaving fans eagerly awaiting an official announcement.
