BGMI Reveals New Campaign Called ‘Wear Your Cred’ to Nudge Battle Royale Fans to the Royale Pass; Here Are the Details

BGMI has recently launched a campaign titled “Wear Your Cred.” This initiative aims to explain the significance of the Royale Pass to its players. The Royale Pass is BGMI’s battle pass, that allows players to access various in-game rewards. As BGMI is a free-to-play game, the Royale Pass serves as one of the avenues for developers to generate revenue.

Through the new campaign, BGMI wants players to break away from the default gaming experience and embrace a world where unique in-game elements like emotes, parachutes and outfits clearly separate them from everyone else. Krafton has also released a new video on YouTube for the campaign, sending the message that “Royale Pass lets players gain recognition and respect for their unique achievements by donning the various skins. Each player’s presence alone will command respect, perhaps even instilling a sense of awe, when they wear their cred.”

The Wear Your Cred YouTube film begins with a woman visiting various locations. She proudly displays a tattoo on her arm that symbolises cosmetics from the game. As she reveals the tattoo, onlookers around her start fainting. This unusual scenario takes place in multiple settings, including a café, an elevator, a street, a club, and other bustling areas.

Towards the end, the narrator says the words “make sure they know,” followed by details about BGMI’s new Royale Pass, featuring “epic skins, unique emotes, and exclusive rewards.” The video ends with a call-out to players without a battle pass, urging them, “Don’t be default, Wear your cred.” For those unfamiliar, “default” is a term from Fortnite used for players sporting basic “default” skins and who haven’t bought any cosmetics or the battle pass.

The BGMI Royale Pass starts at 360 UC, requiring players to purchase the 300 UC pack (which includes a 30 UC bonus) and add an extra 60 UC, totalling INR 538. Usually, it’s a single purchase that offers cosmetics, emotes across tiers, and sufficient UC for the next month’s Royale Pass. Players simply need to progress through all tiers before the new Royale Pass debuts. BGMI is a free-to-play game available on Android and iOS devices.
