The CPUs are said to be announced on October 10th, and released on October 24th. Intel has been inviting press members to a closed pre-launch press briefing regarding the new Core Ultra 200 CPUs predicted to be launched this month, confirms Videocardz. This is huge news for those anxious to dive into the new Arrow Lake-S CPUs and the LGA 1851 motherboards. LGA 1700 has now been around for 3 years, which is a pretty long time when you’re talking about Intel. We hope the rumors of LGA 1851 being a one-and-done platform aren’t true. As stated, the pre-release press briefing is not public and will take place on October 7th. It is also said that there will be a Q&A briefing with the information but whatever is said will likely stay under wraps until the announcement on October 10th. With Intel’s last generation still facing issues, it needs this to be a win, likely the reason for the Q&A. Intel October 10th announcement with reviews to follow on October 24th Hardware leaker @wxnod on X has posted a leak confirming the dates above, but also including the Z890 motherboards into the mix. It makes sense that we are set to see the launch of the Z890s at the same time, or else we’d have nothing to put the new Core Ultra CPUs into. Anything less than a completely side-by-side launch would make no sense. We don’t have that much information about the new motherboards just yet, but if we compare them to the X870 motherboards, we can assume that they will at least have USB 4 and PCIe Gen 5 as standard.
