This is big milestone as Antstream is the first game streaming service to be featured on Apple.
They boasts a collection of over 1,300 retro games.
This transition follows the European Union’s Digital Markets Act (DMA), which was enacted in 2022 and encourages greater competition in the technology sector.
As a result, Apple had to modify its App Review Guidelines in order to accommodate third-party game streaming services such as Antstream. These changes were initially intended for the EU, but they have turned out to be beneficial for gamers worldwide and allows platforms to reach a larger audience.
Antstream Arcade is offering a special subscription rate to celebrate its debut in the App Store. For a limited time, subscription will be discounted at $3.99 per month or $29.99 per year, which is a cheaper than the standard $4.99 per month or $39.99 per year.
Aside from streaming convenience, Antstream Arcade offers the security of legally licenced games, as opposed to emulators, which frequently involve complex ROM legality issues. This makes Antstream an excellent, user-friendly choice that will undoubtedly appeal to retro gaming enthusiasts.
