Black Ops 6 gameplay trailer is now the most-watched Call of Duty trailer of all time. The trailer has amassed over 55 million views so far, surpassing the views of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare trailer, the previous record holder.
Xbox and Activision’s Call of Duty Black Ops 6 marks the return of the Black Ops series after the release of Black Ops Cold War in 2020. The FPS title is also set to be the first title in the history of Call of Duty to release day one on Xbox Game Pass, meaning that it will technically be a free-to-play title for all active Game Pass subscribers.
While it is hard to pinpoint exactly what factors contributed to the popularity of this particular Call of Duty title, the addition to Game Pass may have had a part to play. This may be the case since Xbox players may have previously overlooked the release of the title for any reason ranging from no strong interest in checking out a Call of Duty game release every year to their general disinterest in paying the premium price that a Call of Duty title carries with it at launch. With Black Ops 6 coming to the subscription, there is an added incentive for Game Pass subscribers to check out the trailer since they will get to play the title at launch.
Call of Duty Black Ops 6 trailer reveals that the story will be set in the early 1990s and will follow the events after the Black Ops Cold War. The lead developer for Black Ops 6’s campaign is Raven Software, and are co-developing the title with Treyarch Studios. Call of Duty Black Ops 6 will be released on October 25, 2024.
