Warzone and MW3 Will Reportedly Be a Part of Esports World Cup



The Esports World Cup is an annual tournament that was announced back in 2023. The first iteration of the tournament is set to kick off on July 3 and will run till August 25 will feature 8 weeks of intense esports competition across popular games and a staggering prize pool of $60 million. Interestingly, a new report points towards an addition of another game to the already big roster, and it’s going to be the most recent Call of Duty titles. Call of Duty MW3 and Warzone in Esports World Cup
According to a post by Dexerto’s Jacob Hale on X, there will be two Call of Duty games featured in the tournament. Hale found this information through ‘lines of HTML’ that were found on the Esports World Cup website, and they have since then been deleted.

The information has revealed that the first game is going to be Call of Duty: Warzone, the battle royale title, and will include a prize pool worth $1 million. The start date for the Warzone competition is July 3 and the end date is July 6. The other game is Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, their latest multiplayer shooter and its prize pool will be worth $1.8 million. The MW3 competition will take August 15 to 18, according to the report.

The Esports World Cup already has a long list of titles, and they have announced more will be revealed soon. Apart from the Call of Duty games, there are 19 participating games. These include Apex Legends, Counter-Strike 2, Dota 2, EA Sports FC 24, Fortnite, Free Fire, Honor of Kings, League of Legends, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, Overwatch 2, PUBG Battlegrounds, PUBG Mobile, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege, Rennsport, Rocket League, StarCraft II, Street Fighter 6, Teamfight Tactics and Tekken 8.
