GTA 6 Trailer Now Has a Live-Action Recreation by a Fan

Gamers across the globe have gone gaga over the first trailer of GTA 6 since Rockstar first released it in December 2023. The trailer broke records left, right, and centre when it first came out, and brands soon started recreating it to join the hype train of the game. Now, popular YouTuber Andrew Levitt has just released a new recreation of the GTA 6 trailer; this time, it is live-action. Check out more about how the trailer was made here.

GTA 6 Live-Action Fan Recreation
Andrew Levitt is a YouTuber known for finding real locations for the ones found in games; he has already done this for Red Dead Redemption 2, Grand Theft Auto 5, Call of Duty: Warzone, The Last of Us and more. Once Levitt saw how the GTA 6 trailer was doing regarding interest and views, he knew that a live-action trailer had to be made, so he set foot in Miami, the city Vice City is based on, to create this live-action recreation.

Starting the project, Levitt realised that 46 shots in the trailer had to be recreated. Luckily, some scenes were based on real-life incidents for which they could get clips; this helped cut out 8 of the 46 shots. Then Levitt set off to all the locations seen in the trailer to figure out how they would shoot these scenes to make them look picture-perfect. Levitt teamed up with his friend and cameraman Jacob Phillips to travel downtown, to the beach, to clubs, and other areas.

Levitt also released a BTS video explaining how the whole trailer was shot, the obstacles they needed to overcome, and how they overcame them. It looks like a lot of work, effort, and time went into it, and luckily, they have the video to show for it. The final product posted on Levitt’s YouTube channel looks extremely accurate, perfectly capturing the aesthetic, vibe, and small nuances of the trailer. You have to see the recreation to know how good it is.
