Helldivers 2 developers have recently fixed a progression glitch after 1.3 million requests from players. While the bugs and bots are currently annoying players across the globe, there have been several signs that a third faction is soon arriving to create more problems in the fight for democracy. With so much happening in Helldivers 2 with player theories and game issues, a certain milestone of selling 8 million copies has kind of slipped under the radar as well. Players who are fighting the good fight for managed democracy are already convinced on Reddit that the game’s third faction, The Illuminate, is already here. Some players have reported seeing mysterious blue lasers in the sky, and even getting struck by this laser which killed their character instantly. The Illuminate is perhaps the most deadly faction from the original Helldivers game due to their advanced technology and use of shields, AI, blue-energy weapons, snipers, and more.

Arrowhead recently fixed progression issues for 1.3 million players
Arrowhead Game Studios took to their official Helldivers Discord server to announce that they have solved “manual progression requests to fix locked difficulties for about 1,300,000 players who hadn’t been able to unlock them normally.“ The studio added that “anyone stuck on a certain difficulty should, fingers crossed, have the issue fixed soon if it wasn’t already fixed earlier today. Thanks as always for your patience.”

Helldivers 2: 8 million copies sold
Elsewhere, Helldivers 2 has recently managed to sell over 8 million copies. Bloomberg reported that the game has “performed well ahead of expectations” that Sony and Arrowhead for the game, and sales are “growing every week.”
