The LG B4 has finally got some pre orders up and running, even if one of the models is missing. This OLED TV is LG’s budget model for 2024, and it offers some valuable upgrades to make it a much better contender than last year’s B3. The 65-inch model in particular could be a top pick thanks to a price drop, alongside improved specs.
Sure, the B4 doesn’t boast the same bright evo or MLA panels as the C4 and G4, but it is a capable display in its own right to compete with the best OLED TVs on the market. The budget price tag goes a long way for many people, and that’s what makes it a real winner if you’re looking for a bargain.

Price drop for the 65″ B4 compared to last year
Time for a quick comparison now, and we can see that the 65″ B4 is listed for $2,199.99 on the official LG store. This is a sizeable $500 cheaper than the C4, and $200 less than the launch price of the B3 this time last year. Many buyers passed on the B-series and went straight for the C-series simply because the price difference wasn’t significant enough considering the disparity in specs.
With this amendment to the price tag, and an overall price increase for the C4 and G4 models, we think that the B4 is in a much better spot than previous generations. How the prices fluctuate from here, we don’t know, but this is a great start for the entry-level model. We’ve focused on the 65″ model here, but LG will also introduce a 48″ B4 which should be a great budget pick.
Improved specs also make it more competitive
The B4’s panel is not as bright as the mid-range C4, but it is still great for darker rooms like your home cinema or gaming setup. In regards to this, something the B3 lacked was connectivity. It only had two HDMI 2.1 ports compared to the C3’s four. However, the B4 now has four 2.1 ports to allow you to create your dream entertainment hub with full bandwidth.
We think that comparing LG B4 vs C4 is the best way to understand the worth of the latest B-series option. The B4 sticks to 120Hz, which is enough for console gaming and the new Alpha 8 AI chip is an improvement. Again, the introduction of a 48″ model could be a game changer.
