Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is a 2D action-adventured-based platformer from the Metroidvania genre. However, what happened after this competition surprised all players and participants of the competition, learn more below.

Initally planned for an hour, the speedrunners managed to make it to Azhadha in half the time…Big Congrats to KeremOR9 for winning the Eternal Sands speedrun! https://t.co/W6hBK6R2V5

According to a report by mp1st, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown developers hosted a speedrun competition just to patch all the methods they used in the competition. They posted a message on Speedrun.com regarding their latest patch 1.0.4 stating that it has fixed “a number of glitches and tricks that were used in, or even core to, the Any% categories.” This message has left the community surprised.

They have gotten rid of all the ways the players were speed-running through the competition, which includes glitches and bypassing some restricted categories and other strategies. However, their new patch clearly states that these stats will not work anymore. This leads to the players asking why, because if the speed-running exploits weren’t breaking the game in any form, then there was no need to patch them. Now that these paths have been closed, players will find new ones to one-up the developers.
