Krafton and Alchemist Games Announce Garuda Saga, a New Mobile Game for India; Pre-Registration Is Now Live on Android and iOS
Krafton India, makers of BGMI, have announced a new Indian-themed mobile game called Garuda Saga. Developed by Alchemist Games, it is a roguelike adventure game, and pre-registrations for this title are now live. Let’s check everything we know about the upcoming game from Krafton here.
Garuda Saga: Plot and Other Details
Garuda Saga revolves around Garuda, a hero on a journey to rescue his friend and mentor, King Allu, escape the “depths of hell”. The roguelike title will offer 19 story chapters with 15 multi-wave levels. Garuda is equipped with a bow and arrow to take down various enemies in this story-driven game. Krafton has also described the title as a fantasy RPG title, which will feature ways to upgrade the skills and abilities of the protagonist.
Garuda Saga bears some resemblance to Alchemist Games’ earlier release called Angel Sagadue to the roguelike gameplay elements. However, Krafton clarified that the Garuda Saga features a new story, characters, and other elements. All these aspects have been crafted for the Indian audience and the game will be exclusive to the country.

Anuj Sahani, head of Krafton Incubator Program and lead at Garuda Saga shared a statement as part of the announcement of the game. Sahani said, “We are delighted to bring Garuda Saga to our Indian audiences, a unique mobile game that intricately weaves together thrilling gameplay with rich Indian narrative.”
Kipum Jun, CEO of Alchemist Games, said that the development studio is “thrilled to bring Garuda Saga to the Indian gaming community, offering gamers a truly immersive and captivating experience.” Jun went on to add, “In crafting Garuda Saga, we aimed to transcend the typical roguelike genre by infusing it with a rich plot, depth, and visually stunning challenges.”
Garuda Saga: How To Pre-Register on Android and iOS
Players can pre-register for Garuda Saga on Android via Google Play Store and for iOS devices through the Apple App Store. Pre-registering will give Indian players an exclusive starter pack, including free magic stones and a free pet among more items, to kickstart their journey in Garuda Saga. However, Krafton India has not shared the release date for the upcoming mobile game.
