Baldur’s Gate 3 Physical Edition for Xbox Will Come with a Total of 3 Discs, Patch 5 to be Pre-Installed, More
Baldur’s Gate 3 by Larian Studios has a lot going on at the moment with a Game of the Year nomination at The Game Awards 2023, its next big update, Patch 5 and the physical release for Xbox consoles. The Director of Publishing at Larian Studios tweeted out some interesting details about the Xbox physical release for Baldur’s Gate 3.
Firstly, players should know that a physical release for Xbox consoles was announced on November 15 and Larian Studios had stated that the game was “on track for a December release.” We were also told that the exact release date for the physical edition of Baldur’s Gate 3 will be revealed at The Game Awards.
Now, the director of publishing at Larian Studios, Michael Douse, has stated in a post on X (formerly Twitter) that the Xbox retail version of Baldur’s Gate 3 will play “across 3 discs.” Douse added that this version will come with patch 5 installed, “which is really good news.” Lastly, the developers are “working on the exact version for PlayStation 5” too.

Talking about Patch 5, this is going to be a big update for Baldur’s Gate 3. The patch is scheduled for this week and will work towards fixing “the eternally-active acts of thefts & violence causing slowdowns, introduced in the previous patch.” It will also work towards bringing a fix for “Astarion’s little kisses and more.” Through a follow-up tweet, Larian added there is “a lot coming with Patch 5” and while that is in development, Larian is also preparing a community update which will elaborate on “some new features coming to Baldur’s Gate 3.”

At the moment, Baldur’s Gate 3 is playable on PC via Steam for the price of INR 2,999 and the PlayStation 5 for the price of INR 5,827.
