Indus Battle Royale, the homegrown gaming title developed by SuperGaming, has announced some significant news. In the aftermath of the Diwali celebrations, the Pune-based studio has chosen this festive occasion to introduce a new hero for fans to anticipate.
Introducing Pokhran, the latest playable character in the game. Revealing this character during Diwali makes sense, as Pokhran is a nuclear automaton set to illuminate the Indus BR map with explosive displays. In the in-game lore, Pokhran is the creation of Homi J. Bhabha, recognised in reality as the “father of the Indian nuclear program.” Check out the character’s trailer below.
The trailer reveals that Homi J. Bhabha continued his nuclear research with the aid of technology provided by the Yaksha. His final creation, Pokhran III, serves as a gift to the people of Indus. Pokhran goes on a new journey with a mission to “guard this planet and its people” and, most importantly, to “always protect the power.”

Pokhran is then seen charging up in the trailer, with his radiation levels going off the charts. Emerging from a vat, he unleashes a wave of nuclear energy, vaporising his assailants. It will be interesting to see the impact this character brings to the world of Indus, particularly if a gameplay version of Pokhran’s nuclear wave attack is unveiled.
