About The New Gate
The New Gate is based on the novel of the same name by Shinogi Kazanami, with a manga adaptation featuring illustrations by Yoshiyuki Miwa.
The story revolves around Shin, the most formidable player in the online game The New Gate, who successfully conquers the greatest enemy, Origin, and frees the captive people. However, a new door unexpectedly opens, transporting Shin to the world of The New Gate 500 years after the game’s completion. In this transformed game world turned into reality, a new legend of Shin begins.
The original novel and manga adaptation are serialised by the Japanese publishing company AlphaPolis, with 21 volumes of the novel and 13 volumes of the manga published to date. The series has amassed a cumulative circulation of over 2.5 million copies.
For English readers, the manga series is published by One Peace Books, and the volumes are available in India. Fans can expect the anime adaptation to bring this story to life in 2024.
